Friday Favorites - Benefit BENEFIT Benefit!

Lovers, I have been so exited to write this post for you!
I will admit it, I'm delayed in getting on the Benefit Cosmetics bandwagon. In the past i have only used the High Beam (here) which i might add is the best liquid highlighter so check it out! Now i can honestly say it is the BEST thing i have EVER done. If you aren't using Benefit i recommend you check them out now!

It all started on Wednesday when i went to the Benefit Brow Bar at our local department store (Knows as David Jones for my Aussie bloggers) I had a friend of mine do her brows at the bar and i was skeptical at first i mean first you are sitting in the middle of the busiest department store in Australia and if you have been to Sydney City David Jones its literally chaos, i have never seen that place quiet in my life, but her eyebrows came out PERFECTLY!

When i say perfect i mean the arch definition was on point for her face, her eyebrows were perfectly inline with how they should be and they weren't tiny thin arched brows they were as i like to call it the Kim K, Model you see in magazine kind thickness and hey i get it some people don't like that and i wont judge i had super tiny thin eyebrows myself at one point.

So this got me thinking for a week, then two weeks, three, four until i noticed my thinking turned into my brows growing out. I called Benefit that morning and asked if i could make an appointment (you don't need too, but if you don't its a 10-15minute wait) The girl on the phone was super nice and super helpful and booked me in for lunch time that day.

Well let me tell you she not only asked me what i want which alot of beauticians fail to do, she showed me where my eyebrows should be sitting length wise and gave me tips and tricks on how to make them appear fuller. She recommended a tint because i explained how trying to powder or pencil my brows was always a failure and left me looking like Lady Gaga.

Keep in mind at a Benefit Bar you are sitting up on a chair the whole time, no lying down and personally? It hurt alot LESS that when ive lied down. She was quick, efficient and took her time explaining what she was doing and why. She also put some Benefit "Its Potent" (here)eye cream under the dark circles on my eyes. Then she showed me on eyebrow. IT WAS AMAZING i don't know why i didn't take a before and after photo but i wish i did to show you all the difference.

By the time the second eye was done, i noticed the eye cream had actually worked. Not a single bit of darkness under my eye, and if you know me i have very heavy dark circles from lack of sleep, stress and anxiety. This made me look like i had about 12 hours sleep. On the Benefit site the product description reads: Fades dark circles & helps smooth fine lines for brighter, younger-looking eyes. Contains a peptide complex known to help restore elasticity & firmness, a blend of hydrating botanical extracts and loquat extract, known to help protect the skin from free radical damage. Ill back that is 100% true. Keep in mind if you have overly sensitive skin i do not think this is the right product for you, i have heard it can give a little bit of a burning sensation to the skin.

Without this being any longer (sorry ladies) i also got myself the Speed Brow Gel (here) just to keep those little stray hairs in place. I think from now on majority of what i purchase will be from Benefit and as for my eyebrows, they have a customer for life.

What benefit products do you recommend? Has anyone tried doing their brows at the brow bar?

Dani xo

  2. I have loved Benefit - I initially used to only wear Benefit cosmetics because of their cute and quirky packaging, but simpleness of products. I love love love They're Real! mascara - makes lashes look big, bold and Kardashian like, but is a bit stingy if gets into eyes, Bad Gal Lash mascara is not too bad as well. Sun Beam is great golden illuminator, and I've read review that their concealer Fake Up is a wonder product.
